  • How do I hire SEXTÊTE for my event?
    Please fill out this Google form first. This will give us all the information we need about your event to give you an accurate quote. This way, we eliminate excessive back-and-forth emailing and expedite the booking process. Once you’ve completed the form, please send us a message through the contact page on our website, or email us directly at sexteteband.to@gmail.com
  • Why should I hire SEXTÊTE for my event?
    A live band offers a level of energy and engagement that transcends the experience you’d get from a Bluetooth speaker. Pro musicians know how to gauge a room’s energy, engage with the crowd, and make your night interactive, immersive and unforgettable! We can also tailor their music to suit you and your event’s needs; song requests, lyric changes, medleys and other requests can be accommodated to personalize your experience!
  • How do you determine your rates?
    There are several things that factor into our rates, such as the amount of time you want us to play, the travel distance to the venue, the amount of rehearsal time we’ll be putting in for your event, equipment rentals, and more. We determine rates on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out to discuss a quote that is specific to your event!
  • How long is a typical set?
    One set of music is typically 1 hour long. Our standard for private events is three 1-hour sets (3 hours of music in total). However, if your event requires more or less music, we can accommodate and adjust your quote accordingly!
  • Do you take song requests?
    Yes! If there are specific song(s) you want played, we are more than happy to include them in our set. Please be sure to make your request(s) well in advance of the event so we have time to learn and polish them.
  • Do you bring your own gear?
    The amount of gear we bring depends on what the venue provides. We will always bring our own instruments, but if the venue is able to provide a backline (drums, guitar amps), we would opt to use those in order to lighten our load. Sound systems, microphones, and cables are also needed to amplify the band. If the venue does not provide a sound system, we will charge an additional fee to cover the cost of renting one. If you aren’t sure whether your venue provides these things, or don’t feel knowledgeable in this area, feel free to reach out and ask us about it!
  • How many members are in your band?
    Although a Sextet is typically comprised of 6 members, we are 7! When we first started we were 6, but as the band grew so did our numbers! We know our name is misleading, but we are too attached to change it ;) We feel this information is worth clarifying so you understand that your quote is designed to accommodate 7 people, not 6.
  • What does the band wear onstage?
    We typically wear stylized groovy-retro ’60s-inspired outfits at our shows, but we can also accommodate any requests for formal attire or other specific dress codes.
